FIELD INSTRUCTION

Dr. LaKetia Baker is currently available to serve as a Field Instructor for BSW and MSW students.

With a strong commitment to nurturing the next generation of social workers, Dr. Baker is actively providing field instruction for students at Widener University and Virginia Commonwealth University. She welcomes opportunities to support BSW and MSW students from accredited programs who are seeking hands-on, meaningful field experience rooted in trauma-informed care, cultural humility, and clinical excellence.

As a seasoned Licensed Clinical Social Worker, mental health practitioner, and educator, Dr. Baker offers a rich and supportive learning environment that helps students grow both professionally and personally. Her practice provides diverse opportunities for students to gain skills in direct practice, psychoeducation, advocacy, and community engagement.

ABOUT

HER

  • My name is Dr. LaKetia Baker and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, teacher, speaker, and ordained minister with over 15 years of experience working with people who are ready to embark on their healing journey. I possess a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master of Divinity and a Masters of Arts in Christian Education from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. I am also a proud United States Army Veteran.

    I am the owner and host of PH Balance, a relationship podcast which can be found on Apple podcasts, Spotify and other major podcast platform, a contributing author for the book “She Found Love in a Hopeless Place: An Anthology of Spiritual Journeys”, and I enjoy working out and spending time with family and friends.

    Driven by a passion to empower others, I seek to provide services for individuals, couples and families creating opportunities for clients to engage in critical discussions that cultivates healing, change and the development or enhancement of healthy and sustainable relationships.
