CO-PARENTING CLASS

Two Parent, Two Homes

This a four-hour class designed to assist parents in focusing on the responsibilities of parenting from separate households and in keeping children out of the middle as they negotiate custody, visitation, child support, or divorce. A certificate is awarded upon completion of the class. Our instructors are trained professionals who facilitate classes through the use of handouts, videos, and group discussions. This class meets the parent education guidelines developed by the Supreme Court of Virginia.

INSTRUCTORS

  • My name is Dr. LaKetia Baker and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, teacher, speaker, and ordained minister with over 15 years of experience working with people who are ready to embark on their healing journey. I possess a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California, a Master of Divinity and a Masters of Arts in Christian Education from the Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union University. I am also a proud United States Army Veteran.

    I am the owner and host of PH Balance, a relationship podcast which can be found on Apple podcasts, Spotify and other major podcast platform, a contributing author for the book “She Found Love in a Hopeless Place: An Anthology of Spiritual Journeys”, and I enjoy working out and spending time with family and friends.

    Driven by a passion to empower others, I seek to provide services for individuals, couples and families creating opportunities for clients to engage in critical discussions that cultivates healing, change and the development or enhancement of healthy and sustainable relationships.

  • I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of nursing experience helping individuals strengthen their mental health and overall well-being. I provide compassionate care to people navigating challenges such as anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and trauma, as well as those facing major life transitions like family changes, relationships, work stress, pregnancy, and the postpartum period. I am also a Certified Perinatal Mental Health Clinician. 

    In addition to my focus on medication management, anxiety, and depression, I also work closely with clients experiencing:

    • Grief and loss

    • Coping skills and stress management

    • Relationship challenges

    • Self-esteem and self-harming behaviors

    • Sleep difficulties or insomnia

    • Suicidal thoughts

    • Women’s issues

    • Spirituality and personal growth

    • Thinking disorders and complex life challenges

    My approach is collaborative and supportive. Whether you’re looking for guidance through a difficult transition, tools to manage overwhelming emotions, or treatment for ongoing mental health concerns, my goal is to help you heal, grow, and feel more confident navigating life.

  • Hello, I'm De'Andra Oliver, a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Certified Substance Abuse Counselor-Supervisee (CSAC-Supervisee), and Sex Offender Treatment Provider-Trainee (SOTP-T) committed to empowering individuals and families to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. With over 15 years of experience in the mental health field, I've developed a deep understanding of the complexities of human experience. I earned my Bachelor of Science from Liberty University and a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling from Longwood University. My expertise includes working with diverse populations, including incarcerated offenders, sex offenders, children, adolescents, adults, and military families. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and utilize a strengths-based approach to help clients build resilience and create lasting positive change. I am a Virginia Court-approved co-parenting educator and a facilitator of SMART Recovery groups, reflecting my dedication to providing comprehensive and supportive services. As a CSAC-Supervisee and SOTP-T, I am actively engaged in advanced training and supervision to provide the highest quality care in substance abuse and sex offender treatment.
